Sean Patrick Suiter holds undergraduate degrees in English Literature, Chemistry and Physics from Creighton University and the University of Nebraska, respectively. Sean received his Juris Doctor from Creighton University Law School in 1988 and has been a member of the Nebraska bar since 1988. Additionally, Sean is admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska (1990); U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Federal and Eighth Circuits, U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. Supreme Court (1991); and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Sean also belongs to Delta Sigma Rho, and Tau Kappa Alpha. Prior to founding Suiter·Swantz pc llo, Sean served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable John T. Grant, Nebraska Supreme Court, 1988-89. In addition to his work duties, Sean also is an Adjunct Professor of Law (Patent) at Creighton University School of Law.

Chad W. Swantz joined Suiter·Swantz pc llo in 1999. Chad holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska (1996) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law (1999). Chad was admitted to the Nebraska Supreme Court and U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska in 1999. Chad is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Scot M. Ringenberg joined Suiter · Swantz pc llo as an Associate Patent Attorney in June 2006. His practice is focused on the preparation and prosecution of U. S. and foreign patent applications in the chemical, electrical, and computer arts. In addition to his patent work, Scot also provides counsel in trademark and copyright matters.

Scot received his Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2000 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2003. He has also continued his education with the University of Kansas Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department graduate studies program.

Scot is registered to practice as an attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, he has been admitted to the state bars of Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.

He is also a member of numerous professional and community associations including the state Bar Associations of Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Alumni Association.

Daniel J. Honz joined Suiter·Swantz pc llo in 2008. Dan holds a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska (2004) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law (2008). Dan was admitted to the Nebraska Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska in 2008, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to attending law school, Dan worked for a major global pharmaceutical company, ensuring chemicals complied with strict United States Pharmacopoeia standards, and for a major global foods manufacturer, providing creative engineering solutions to production problems.

R. Andy Kruse joined Suiter Swantz pc llo as an Associate Patent Attorney in January 2011. Prior to joining Suiter Swantz, Andy flew fighter aircraft in the U.S. Military and commercial aircraft for a major U.S. Airline.

While in the military, Andy gained extensive experience flying the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon in the South Dakota Air National Guard, the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy, and taught military students from around the world in various trainer models. Andy continues to maintain currency in the Boeing 757/767 family of aircraft and in the F-16. Andy holds a Top Secret security clearance and the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Andy received his Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska in 2010. Andy was admitted to the Nebraska Supreme Court and U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska in 2010 and is registered to practice as an attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Shane R. Thielen joined Suiter Swantz pc llo in 2010. Shane received a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2000 and worked as a computer programmer for Ameritrade Inc. until 2002 when he became a registered investment advisor. In 2007 Shane became a member of the United States Patent Bar and received a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law the following year. Shane is currently a member of the Patent Bar, and the Nebraska State bar.

Nicholas R. Grennan joined Suiter Swantz pc llo in 2011. Nick received his engineering degree from Cornell University in 2005 and graduated with honors from the Creighton University School of Law in 2008. Prior to joining Suiter Swantz, Nick practiced complex commercial litigation.

Nick is admitted to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, Nick is admitted to practice in all Nebraska state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Sarah J. Hestad joined Suiter Swantz pc llo in 2012. Sarah graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering in 2003 and a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law in 2007. Sarah has been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Nebraska Supreme Court. Prior to joining Suiter Swantz, Sarah spent three years in the Middle East working for a leading international law firm in the fields of oil and gas, intellectual property licensing, and project finance. She has also worked on engineering projects in the non-profit sector in Guatemala and Bolivia and speaks fluent Spanish.

Faisal K. Abou-Nasr joined Suiter Swantz pc llo in 2012. Faisal received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska in 2009 and a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law in 2012. Faisal has been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Nebraska Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska. Prior to joining Suiter Swantz, Faisal worked at a technology transfer office specializing in IP management and commercialization of medical technologies.

Leo J. Peters joined Suiter·Swantz as Of Counsel in 2004. Leo is a 1988 Graduate of George Washington University School of Law. Leo also has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University. Prior to joining the Firm, Leo worked as an in-house Patent Attorney and as a Patent Examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Leo is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia. Leo is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
